Drive-By Shooting

“Wow, been a long time since I updated this website. Sorry, got distracted again.

Drive-By Shooting was made as a proof of concept, really. Something to show off ‘the device,’ which is a dSLR mounted in the backseat of the car with a wired trigger line to the steering wheel. Something I can shoot with while i’m driving along the highway and keep the same viewpoint throughout. As I think about it now, it is somewhat akin to the lomographic idea of ‘shooting from the hip’ – about the lack of need to look through the viewfinder – but in this instance I don’t even need to point and shoot. I just rattle off a few frames as I drive by and no matter what, it’s always a photograph.

Very few of these wound up printed – sent out as promos only. I’d say less than 40 exist.”
